About Me:: I have been working as a children's entertainer for over 20 year as Ron Rainbow, using magic and puppets. Although my interest in both magic and puppets stems back to my childhood (over 55 years). I write most of my own material and build a lot of my own puppets but I also use 'off the shelf' puppets as well. I love working with children and in the open air. I work in UK and
Eastern Europe.
I am a member of Equity, British Puppet and Model Theatre Guild, International Brotherhood of Magicians. I am member of the steering comittee of Skipton Puppet Festival (20 - 23 Sept 2007)

The 2nd International Skipton Puppet Festival was a huge success, with over 20 puppet companies taking part, including 7 international companies, with 24 ticketed performance, 14 school performances plus free street and tent events and puppet making workshops. 7 of the 24 of the ticketed performances where sold out in advance of the festival starting, over the festival 16 performances sold out. Some repeat performances were arranged some of which also sold out. The free events where overwhelmed with people coming from far and wide. The phone lines where so busy that we had to trurn them off in order to cope with the punters who had turned up. We advise BOOK EARLY next time. Skipton Puppet Festival 2009

Preperations for the third Skipton Puppet Festival are well on their way. with over 80 performances booked. with acts from Russia, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Belgium and France, as well as the UK already booked.

The Festival takes place in the delightful North Yorkshire Market Town of Skipton from Friday 25th September to Sunday 27th September.

Although this is only the third Skipton Festival it has become a NOT TO BE MISSED event the the puppeteers diary

Weather

Last week I was working in Romania in the hottest its been there since 1963. This week I am back in England to the wettest since 1756. Not very helpful as I work such a lot out doors. but so far i have managed ok. Has the weather affected any one else this summer?
